HE MUST INCREASE AND I MUST DECREASE! (Sat May 18th)
TEXT: Ephesians chapter 3
1. IN MY SELF __________________________.
Ephesians 3:8— “Although I am less than the least of all God’s people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.”  Romans 1:1, 12:3, I Corinthians 15:9-10, Philippians 3:1-8.  Paul’s identity & worth were based on who he was
in Christ. He called himself often a servant or slave & yet an Apostle. He gloried in Christ’s achievements not his own - see Galatians 6:14
Do I have a Biblical & balanced view of myself? Do I think too highly or too lowly of myself? Do I allow others to affect my perception or do I let the Word of God have the final say?
2. IN MY _____________________________.
II Corinthians 4:5— “For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.”  Philippians 1:12-21 & Colossians 3:17
We all are proclaiming someone or something by our lives & lips!Am I promoting my own kingdom and agenda?  Do I lift up Christ in my attitudes and actions? What does my daily speech reveal about me?  Proverbs 18:22, Ephesians 4:29 & James 3:1-10.  Do I really believe in the power of the Gospel? Romans 1:16
3. IN MY __________________________. verses 14-21
Ephesians 3:20— “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine according to His power that is at work within us.”
Too much of our praying is self-centered instead of Christ centered. Am I limiting God in my prayer life?  Jeremiah 29:11-13, 33:3, I John 5:14, James 4:2-3, 5:16.  How often do I pray for an understanding of God’s deep and incredible love? Do I pray for God’s glorious strength to mold and shape our character? Do I pray that God will be greatly glorified in it all?
ANSWERS: PERCEPTION, PREACHING & PRAYING

DARE TO BE A DANIEL (Sun May 19th)
TEXT: THE BOOK OF DANIEL
1.  DANIEL WAS _________________TO GOD & LIVED A DISCIPLINED LIFE.
Daniel 1:8- “Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine.” See Daniel 1, 6:1-10 & I Corinthians 9:24-27.  I Timothy 4:7- “Train yourself to be godly.”  Daniel lived to please and praise God rather than live for pleasure and conform to the pressure of the society around.
DO I TRAIN MYSELF TO BE HOLY IN MIND, BODY, AND SPIRIT? Am I totally sold out to Jesus? If not, why not?
2.   DANIEL ____________________FULLY ON GOD.
Daniel 6:23- “Daniel was lifted from the den, no wound was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.”  Isaiah 26:3-4- “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, whose thoughts are fixed on you! Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.”
Do I truly believe that God can be fully counted on? Am I leaning on Him with all my heart and not my own understanding? Am I learning His word and ways so I can grow in my faith? Has God ever failed or forsaken me?  Why do I doubt Him?
3.   DANIEL WAS _________________AND DUTIFUL.
Colossians 3:23- “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord and not for men.”  Read Daniel 6:1-4 & II Corinthians 8:7
Does my work reflect the Glory of God? Am I pursuing excellence in all things? Do I make every day a master-piece for God? Where am I slacking? In one survey 85% of workers admitted that they could work harder & 50% said they could double their efforts!
4.   DANIEL TRULY MADE A ________________________.
For at least 66 years Daniel served pagan Kings with great diligence and resourcefulness. They all were influenced by Daniel to some degree.  Matthew 5:16- “Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”
AM I BRINGING PEOPLE CLOSER TO GOD OR FARTHER AWAY BY HOW I LIVE?
Each believer is either a conformer or a transformer. What am I?
ANSWERS: DEVOTED, DEPENDED, DEPENDABLE & DIFFERENCE

NO BARRIERS, ONLY BLESSINGS IN CHRIST (Sat May 11th)
TEXT: Ephesians 2:11-22
1. IN CHRIST WE HAVE _______________WITH GOD, OTHERS AND OURSELVES—verses 11-18
Ephesians 2:14— “For He Himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, dividing the wall of hostility.”
See Galatians 3:28, Colossians 3:11 & James 2:1-10 Man divides and excludes, God unites and includes!  When we experience peace with God through the cross, we now have the ability to have peace with others and our troubled souls!!
The Greek word for peace is “eirene” which means to “join together or set at one again.”  Am I a peace maker or peace taker? Do I truly believe the ground is level at the cross? Am I holding on to the
poison of bitterness?
2. IN CHRIST WE HAVE A SPECIAL _________________IN GOD’S FAMILY AND KINGDOM—verses 19-22.  Ephesians 2:19— “Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of His household.”
We are no longer outcasts and strangers, but in Christ we are now saints, citizens of Heaven, & God’s dearly loved children.  See I Peter 2:9-10, Philippians 3:20 & Zephaniah 3:17 We are the bride and body of Christ created to do amazing things for His glory & the good of others-see Ephesians 2:10.  We are His temple & treasured possession–I Corinthians 6:19-20.
I am so glad to be a part of the family of God, are you?  I can call God “my Father” but may I never forget He is “our Father” too! Can it get any better than this?  Who do I need to reach out to with this amazing love?
ANSWERS: PEACE & PLACE

GODLY GALS ARE GREAT!  (Sunday May 12th)
Key Verse: Proverbs 31:30- “Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.”
I. WHY GOD MADE WOMEN WONDERFUL
    A. Because they reflect the ________________of God to us. Genesis 1:27
Isaiah 49:15- “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!”
Where do we learn most about God’s compassion and kindness– from men or women? “See Isaiah 40:11 & 66:13
    B. Because they are very _______________________in the plan of God!
For MarriageProverbs 18:22– “He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord.” Cf. Genesis 2:18.  For Motherhood– Consider how God used Moses’ mother, Samuel’s mother, Timothy’s mother and grandmother, and ultimately- Mary the mother of Jesus!  See Exodus 1&2, I Samuel 2, Luke 1:26-38 & II Timothy 1:5.  For Ministry– Romans 16:1-5, 12-13.
II. WHAT GOD WANTS FROM WOMEN
    A. First, he wants their _________________.
John 4:23- “True worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.” A woman who adores God is attractive in His sight!
    B. Next, he wants their life to be a __________________as they walk in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ! See I Peter 3:1-6
John 4:39- “Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony.”
III. WAYS WE SHOULD TREASURE WOMEN
    A. We should treat them with honor, ______________ and respect!
Proverbs 31:28-29- “Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: ‘Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”
Do we affirm and genuinely appreciate our mothers, wives and sisters?
    B. We should _____________for them passionately! James 5:16
The kindest thing we can do for others is to compassionately and consistently pray for them.
 C. We should treat them with absolute _________________!
I Timothy 5:2- “Treat older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity.”
Men of all ages, we never outgrow our need to be gentlemen to the godly gals in our lives.
ANSWERS: IMAGE, IMPORTANT, WORSHIP, WITNESS, PRAISE, PRAY & PURITY

SO GREAT A SALVATION! (Sat May 4th)
TEXT: EPHESIANS 2:1-10
OUR LOST & DIRE SITUATION— verses 1-3
FIRST, WE WERE ___________, DECEIVED & UTTERLY DEPRAVED!
Jeremiah 17:9— “The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked, who can know it?”  Cf. Mark 7:21-23 and Romans 3:10-23
Mankind by nature is utterly sinful, selfish, snared by Satan and unaware of how bad off we truly are! Man doesn’t need reformation but regeneration!!
SECOND, WE WERE _________________TO ETERNAL DESTRUCTION!
Ephesians 2:3— “Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath.” Cf. Romans 1:18-32 & Revelation 20:11-15
As hard as it to swallow, every human outside of Christ is utterly lost and deserving of Hell. C.S. Lewis said, “There is no doctrine I would more willingly remove from Christianity than this one (hell) if It lay in my power. But it has the full support of Scripture and especially, our Lord’s own words: it has always been held by Christendom, and has the support of reason.”
OUR GREAT SALVATION
FIRST, GOD IN HIS MATCHLESS MERCY, LAVISH LOVE & GLORIOUS GRACE MADE ___________________AVAILABLE.
Ephesians 2:4-5— “But Because of His great love for us, God who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.”  Cf. Romans 5:6-10 & Titus 3:3-7
When we were at our worst—God was at His best. When there was no hope—our God of hope made a way!
SECOND, THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WE CAN ________ TO EARN OUR SALVATION—WE MUST SIMPLY BELIEVE & RECEIVE IT!
Ephesians 2:8-9— “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.”
All the religions of man say “Do, Do, Do!” God says “It is done!”  Will I agree with the apostle Paul when he said it is no longer I but Christ? see Galatians 2:20.  We are not saved by good works—we are saved to do good works out of an attitude of gratitude.
ANSWERS: DEAD, DOOMED, DELIVERANCE & DO

THE UNSEARCHABLE RICHES OF HIS GRACE! (Sat April 27th)
KEY VERSE: Ephesians 1:3— “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who has blessed in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.”
1. GOD’S GRACE IS RICH & _______________!
Ephesians 1:6— “To the praise of His glorious grace…”  Ephesians 2:7— “In the coming ages He might show the incomparable riches of His grace…”
“God’s grace is more than we deserve and greater than we can imagine.” (Max Lucado) Nothing God gives or does is cheap; it is extremely extravagant and very costly—God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense.  Fun Faith Fact: Paul uses the words “in Christ” 130 times in his epistles, 27 times here in Ephesians!
2. GOD’S GRACE MADE A WAY FOR US TO BE ____________, ACCEPTED & ALIVE IN CHRIST!
Ephesians 2:19— “Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household.”  See Ephesians 1:4-7, and 2:1-13, 3:7-8.
Others may not love you and fully accept you, but God has selected you, saved you and seated you with Him in a secure relationship in the heavenly realms!  God paid a huge price to save and adopt us, do we receive it and relish it?
3. GOD’S GRACE GIVES US CONSTANT ________________TO HIS PRESENCE AND POWER!
Ephesians 3:20— “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us…”  Ephesians 6:10-11— “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”
See Ephesians 1:15-23, 3:12 & Hebrews 12:15.  Am I boldly and consistently coming to His throne of grace in prayer? Do I pray to know His presence and power in my daily life? What more do I need in life?
CLOSING QUESTIONS TO CONSIDER: Max Lucado asks in his book “Grace”— “Have you been changed by grace? Shaped by grace? Strengthen by grace? Softened by grace? Snatched by the nape of your neck and shaken to your senses by grace?
ANSWERS: ABUNDANT, ADOPTED, & ACCESS

DON’T QUESTION GOD - LET HIM QUESTION YOU!
(Sun April 28th) - JOB 38-42
1. DO YOU VALUE MY _____________________?
Job 36:26-“How great is God-beyond our understanding!”  See Job 38-40, Psalm 33:6-9 & Romans 1:18-25.
Creation reveals the glory and greatness of our God!  Man has made some pretty cool stuff, but nothing compares to what our Almighty Creator has made!  Do I allow the cathedral of creation to aid my worship of my awesome Creator? Psalm 8.  Am I a good steward of His creation? Am I creative?
2. DO YOU BELIEVE I AM COMPLETELY IN _______________?
Job 42:2— “I know that You can do all things: no plan of Yours can be thwarted.”  Colossians 1:17— “He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” Cf. Acts 17:24-28 & Hebrews 1:1-3
What would happen if God truly took His hands off the wheel so to speak? Do I really believe Romans 8:28-30?  Why do I want so much control? Why won’t I yield more to His gracious leading! Do I believe in Divine appointments? How much of my daily life do I truly yield to God?
3. WHY WONT’ YOU LET ME _________________ YOU INSTEAD OF YOU WANTING TO
CORRECT ME?
Job 40:2-5— “Will the one who contends with the Almighty correct Him? Let him who accuses God answer Him! Then Job answered the Lord: I am unworthy—how can I reply to you? I put my hand over my mouth. I spoke once, but I have no answer—twice, but I will say no more.” Cf. Job 42:1-6, Matthew 7:1-5, Romans 11:33-12:2
In the great classroom of life, God is the teacher and we are the pupils. He allows questions, but we all need to realize we need to learn to answer the questions He has for us!  How teachable am I really? Why not pray more for a teachable spirit?
ANSWERS: CREATION, CONTROL, & CORRECT

CAN’T YOU SEE WHO WALKS WITH YOU? (Sat April 20th)
TEXT: LUKE 24:13-35
I.  WHAT HINDERS US FROM RECOGNIZING CHRIST
   A.  Discouragement and _____________hinder us from realizing he is still there!
See Luke 24:13-17 and Psalm 42.
Discouragement turns our eyes inward. God could be walking next to us, but despair clouds our vision of Him.
   B.   Unmet expectations and ______________________ hinder us from recognizing Christ.
Look up Luke 24:18-21.
The disciples had erroneously believed Jesus would free them from slavery to Rome. Christ came to bring a greater freedom– from sin, death, and hell!
   C.  The biggest hindrance to recognizing Christ is _______________.
Hebrews 3:12-13 - “See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.”  Look at Luke 24:9-11, 25.
Have you allowed doubt to callous your heart and cloud your vision of God?
II.  WHAT HELPS US RECOGNIZE CHRIST
   A. Jesus Christ humbly comes to us and ____________ Himself.
Luke 24:15- “As they talked and discussed these things with each other, Jesus Himself came up and walked along them.”
Compare Matthew 11:25-30 & Ephesians 1:17-19.  We are totally dependent upon the Lord reveal
Himself to us. To see Him, we need Him!
   B. Jesus reveals Himself to us through the ______________.
Luke 24:27- “And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning Himself.” See also John 5:38-40 & II Timothy 3:15-17.
The Scriptures are the reading glasses that enable us to see the Savior in a real and meaningful way!
   C. Jesus powerfully reveals Himself through his sacrifice and the Lord’s ________________.
Luke 24:30-31- “When He was at the table with them, He took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they recognized Him…”
There is nothing that ignites more fire in the faith of  His followers than the supreme sacrifice of our
all-sufficient SAVIOR, As we humbly remember Him, He heartily reveals Himself to us.
