3. THE SUBJECTS OF THIS GREAT LOVE- “THE WORLD”
    A. God ______________________ “ALL” people in the scope of His love.

OVERCOMING OUR ANCIENT FOE
REVELATION 12 (Sunday Sep 8th)
1. SATAN IS A ___OPPONENT WHO SHOULD BE TAKEN VERY SERIOUSLY.
Revelation 12:1-4.  I Peter 5:8— “Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion for someone to devour.”
Do I realize and recognize my ancient foe who seeks to work us woe. Satan is described as a dragon 13 times in Revelation. Here in chapter 12 he is seen as an enormous dragon.
2. SATAN IS A ___________BY NATURE AND IS STEADFAST AND SNEAKY.
Revelation 12:9-10 & 13:1-6.  Ephesians 6:11— “Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” John 10:10, II Corinthians 4:4, 11:3,13-14
The Greek word for Devil is “diabolos” which means slanderer or false accuser.
He slanders God’s person, people, plan & place! Am I listening to his lies & accusations rather than God’s truth?  We are never more like him than when we slander others.
3. WE MUST FIGHT IN CHRIST’S _________ALONE & REST IN HIS FINISHED WORK.
Revelation 12:11— “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb…” Romans 8:37, Ephesians 6:10, I John 3:8, 4:4, 5:4-5,18
John’s favorite word for believers is overcome. It means to “subdue, conquer, prevail & be victorious.”  In Christ we are victors not victims!!! Am I daily dressing in His armor and fighting with His army?
4. LIVING _____________& SURRENDERED TO CHRIST CAUSES SATAN TO FLEE.
Revelation 12:11— “They overcame him...by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.”  Luke 9:23-24 & II Corinthians 5:14-15 & James 4:6-7
Being obedient and on the offensive is the best way to face our enemy. Humility is a powerful attitude in spiritual warfare.  Jim Elliot martyred missionary to the fierce Waodoni Tribe in Ecuador said before his death- “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.”
ANSWERS:  STRONG, SLANDERER, STRENGTH & SELFLESS.

HANDLING HIS MONEY WISELY
 Proverbs 3:9-10 (Sat Aug 31st)
1.    WE ARE CALLED TO ________________ GOD BY GIVING HIM WHAT IS RIGHT AND NOT WHAT IS LEFT!  Proverbs 3:9-10—“Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.” Genesis 14:17-24, 28:16-22, Deuteronomy 14:22-29, Malachi 3:6-12, Matthew 6:33, 23:23 & Romans 12:1-2
Does my giving promote His honor? Do I truly believe it all belongs to Him & that I am just a steward of it all? See Psalm 24:1 Am I giving Him my best or just the leftovers? Am I robbing Him? Tithing was done before the Law, during the Law, and even Jesus endorsed it. Do I truly trust Him with it all?
2.   WE ARE CALLED TO GUARD AGAINST GREED AND TO LEARN TO BECOME ___________________ GIVERS!  Proverbs 11:24-25—“One man gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.” Proverbs 19:17, 21:13, 30:7-9, Matthew 6:1-4 & Luke 12:15-21
How much is enough? Am I a hoarder or can I hold on to things loosely? Do I excel in giving? See II Corinthians 8:1-7.  Billy Graham said, “We hurt people by being too busy, too busy to notice their needs.”
3.   FINALLY, OUR GOAL SHOULD BE TO GET A _______________ GRIP ON OUR FINANCES!  Proverbs 22:1, 7—“A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold. The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.”
MASTER MONEY OR IT WILL MASTER YOU!  Many people live by this motto—”I owe, I owe so off to work I go!” DEAL DECISIVELY WITH DEBT—Proverbs 22:3.  BUILD A BUDGET AND LIVE BY IT—Proverbs 27:23-24.  PLAN AND SAVE FOR THE FUTURE—Proverbs 21:17, 20.  WORK HARD AND AVOID LAZINESS—Proverbs 14:23, 20:4, 21:5
Answers: Glorify, Gracious, & Godly

THE TEMPLE AND TWO TERRIFIC TESTIFIERS
REVELATION 11 (Sunday Sep 1st)
1. THE JEWISH _____________WILL BE REBUILT IN THE TRIBULATION PERIOD.
Daniel, Jesus, Paul and John all predicted that the temple will be rebuilt in the last days-see Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15, & II Thessalonians 2:3-4.  God will measure the worship in the temple in those days.  He is also concerned with how we worship Him in our temples.
I Corinthians 6:19-20- “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.” Cf. John 4:24 & Romans 12:1-2.  Am I honoring God with my body? Am I worshiping Him in spirit and in truth?
2. ISRAEL WILL BE TESTED &  ___________________DOWNFOR 3 1/2 YEARS DURING THE TRIBULATION.  Jeremiah 30:7- “How awful that day will be! None will be like it. It will be a time of trouble for Jacob, but he will be saved out of it. Cf. Revelation 11:2-3, 12:1-6.
Israel will suffer greatly but at the end of the tribulation—all Israel will be saved when they see the One they have pierced—Zechariah 12:1-10, 13:1-14:9 & Romans 11:25-27.  Even though many do not value the nation of Israel, God still has a great plan for it in the future.
3. THERE WILL BE ____________POWERFUL PROPHETS THAT WILL GIVE GREAT TESTIMONY FOR THE LORD.  Revelation 11:3-13 & Zechariah 4:1-14
These two witnesses will powerfully testify for the Lord despite great persecution. When their work is finished they will be martyred and then raised from the dead.  Many believe these witnesses are Moses and Elijah based on the following passages-Deuteronomy 18:15-18, Malachi 4:5-6 and Matthew 17:1-13. Others suggest Enoch & Elijah. We are invincible until God is through with us-see Psalm 31:15.
Are we being faithful & fruitful witnesses for the Lord?
Answers: Temple, Trampled, & Two

3. FORGIVENESS ________________AND BUILDS UP THE BODY OF CHRIST.
Philemon 7-16, Colossians 4:9.  Verse 11— “Formerly he was useless to you, but now he has become useful both to you and to me.”

God’s children have been freely forgiven and the right response to that forgiveness is to freely forgive!!!  Who do I need to release with the blessing of forgiveness?
Point to Ponder:
Every person should have a special cemetery lot in which to bury the faults of friends and loved ones.
ANSWERS:  BRIDGES, BLESSED, BEAUTIFIES, & BASED.

GOD’S TRUTH IS SWEET & SOUR (Sunday Aug 25th)
REVELATION
1. ONCE AGAIN WE ARE REMINDED THAT OUR GOD IS________________OVER IT ALL.  Matthew 28:18— “All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me…”Revelation 5:1-10, Isaiah 9:6, Psalm 103:19, Job 37:5
Despite all the chaos we have been witnessing, everything is going according to His plan! Do I trust His l leadership?  Jesus Christ is our Prophet, Priest and King. He is Lord of everything! Is my estimation of Him growing?
2. THERE ARE ___________THINGS THAT ARE SEALED UP.  Deuteronomy 29:29- “The Secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children
forever.”  Revelation 10:4-7, Daniel 12:1-10 & Romans 11:33-36.
Have you ever noticed how inquisitive people are regarding those things that the wisdom of God has purposely kept from them?  We will have the opportunity to satisfy our curiosity about the things of the Lord in eternity- see I Corinthians 13:12
3. GOD’S TRUTH IS TO BE _____________________ EVEN THOUGH IT IS BOTH
SWEET & SOUR- Revelation 10:9-10.  Jeremiah 15:16— “When your Words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart’s desire.”  Joshua 1:8, Psalm 119:11,18, 24,97, 133 & 165
Am I digesting and integrating God’s truth into all of my life? Does His Word govern and guide my attitudes & actions?  God’s Word will convict and comfort us, but most of all it will change us if we apply it to our lives! See John 8:31-32, 17:17, Romans 12:1-2
POINT TO PONDER:
IT IS NOT ALWAYS THE SWEET THINGS THAT ARE BEST FOR US!
ANSWERS:  SOVEREIGN, SECRET & SWALLOWED.

HOW TO THRIVE NOT MERELY SURVIVE (Sat Aug 17th)
Text: I Chronicles 4:9-10
1. THE PAIN OF THE _____________DOESN’T HAVE TO PREVENT GOD’S BLESSING ON YOUR LIFE!  Isaiah 43:18- “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up: do you not perceive it?”
The name Jabez in Hebrew means “pain or distress.”  How would you like a name like that growing up? God is close to the brokenhearted and loves to do great things in the midst of horrible circumstances. Our extremities are God’s opportunities. Don’t let the past define you, let it refine you!!
2. PERSISTENT AND ______________________PRAYER IS THE KEY THAT OPENS THE DOOR TO A BLESSED LIFE.  “Jabez cried out to God of Israel..”  Proverbs 10:22- “The blessing of the Lord makes a person rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.” (NLT) See Jeremiah 33:3, Ephesians 3:14-21 & James 5:16
To bless in the biblical sense means to ask for supernatural favor.  Bruce Wilkinson said in:
"The Prayer of Jabez"
“When we ask for God’s blessing, we’re not asking for
more of what we could get for ourselves. We’re crying out for
the wonderful unlimited goodness that only God has the
power to know about or give us.”
3. GOD WANTS TO CHANGE OUR _____________________.  “Oh, that You would enlarge my territory.”  Psalm 23:5-6, John 7:37-38, 10:10 & 15:4-8
Why not make a lifelong commitment to ask God everyday to bless you and while He is at it, to bless you a lot?  Wilkinson further stated “God’s bounty is limited only by us, not by His resources, power or willingness to give.”  Do you want to know God better? Do you want to thrive in your life-physically, emotionally and spiritually? Ask God to bless you abundantly.  What would happen in our lives and in those of our family members if we truly practiced this type of praying?  See Numbers 6:24-15, Jude 24-25 & II Timothy 1:7
 ANSWERS:  PAST, PASSIONATE, & PERSPECTIVE.
