SEEK TO DO HARD THINGS IN THE AREA OF ___________________.
Proverbs 11:1, 12:19,22, 14:5,22 & Psalm 51:10
Honesty is so important in building strong relationships and doing well in school and business. Can people count on me?  How honest are you? Is it ever okay to lie?  How honest are you with God? Psalm 15 & Matthew 5:8.  Truth is always timely and it can truly transform us!

It will be worth it all when we finally see Jesus, so let’s boldly run the race till we see Christ and hear Him say “Well Done!”

THE PRINCE’S PATHWAYS TO PEACE– JOHN 14 (Oct 15th)
PATHWAY TO PEACE # 1
PEACE COMES WHEN WE ______________ ON CHRIST ALONE AND HAVE A PERSONAL
RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM! Read John 14:1-11.
John 14:1— “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.”
Isaiah 26:3—“You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in you.”
No Jesus, no peace. Know Jesus, know peace! After all, He is the Prince of Peace. He gives us peace with God, the peace of God, & a peace that passes all understanding. He gives us peace to face our fears, failures, foes, and the future. All He wants is our complete confidence! Does He have that?
PATHWAY TO PEACE # 2
PEACE COMES WHEN WE REALIZE THE _______________________GOD HAS GIVEN US!
First, we have a Holy Helper! John 14:26- “And I will ask the Father to give you another Helper to be with you forever –the Spirit of truth.”
The Greek word for Helper is paraclete which means “One who is called alongside to help.” The Holy Spirit helps us live with purpose, power, and peace! He is our constant companion and source of strength! Look up Galatians 5:16-26.
Next, we have a hotline to Heaven! John 14:13-14- “And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You will ask me for anything in my name and I will do it.”
What more do we need than a 24 hour hotline to Heaven where we can receive help at the sound of a cry! See II Peter 1:3-4
PATHWAY TO PEACE # 3
PEACE COMES WHEN WE DO WHAT IS _______________IN GOD’S SIGHT!
John 14:15,21-23, Philippians 4:6-9, & Colossians 3:12-15
We must learn to think right and do right if we are going to be right.  See Psalm 85:8-10, Psalm 119:165, Isaiah 57:18-21.  Obedience always leads to great blessing!  God’s peace is not the absence of conflict & chaos, it is God’s calm & confident assurance in the midst of it all!  Thomas a Kempis said “All men desire peace, but very few desire those things that make for peace.”

ANSWERS: RELY, RESOURCES & RIGHT

THE GOD WHO IS ALWAYS THERE! (Oct 7th)
KEY VERSE: Proverbs 15:3— “The eyes of the Lord are everywhere, keeping watch on the evil and the good.”
  I.  GOD IS ALWAYS ________________WHETHER ASKED OR NOT!
Matthew 28:20— “Be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (NLT)
Genesis 27:41-28:22, Psalm 139:1-8 & Hebrews 13:5
As you go through your daily routine, how often are you truly aware of His awesome presence with you? What will help you be more mindful of this wonderful promise?
II. GOD _________________EVERYTHING WE THINK, SAY AND DO, EVEN THE MOTIVATION BEHIND THEM!
Proverbs 5:21— “For a man’s ways are in full view of the Lord, and He examines all his paths.”  Proverbs 16:2— “All a man’s ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the Lord.”
Only God is truly omnipresent and omniscient. He is the only one who truly knows what is going on all the time!  We don’t even know our own hearts—that is why we should give Him permission to search our hearts—see Jeremiah 17:9-10 & Psalm 139:23-24.
III.  GOD WAITS & WANTS SO DESPERATELY FOR US TO ALIGN OUR LIVES TO FIT INTO HIS GREAT ______________!
Proverbs 16:3— “Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed.”
Psalm 32:8-10, Proverbs 3:5-6, 16:1,4,9,20 &25.  Why don’t we include God more in our daily decision making process? Do we really believe He is the wonderful counselor?  Do we truly believe He knows what is best and wants what is best for us? See Jeremiah 29:11-13.
Closing Questions to Really Consider:
What would happen in our lives if we truly practiced the presence of God and invited Him into all that we do?
What area of my life do I think I can hide from the Lord and others? Bring it into His light & let Him drive out the darkness! away by His powerful and pure presence!
 ANSWERS: PRESENT, PERCEIVER, & PLAN

SERVING OTHERS IN LOVE– JOHN 13:1-17 (Oct 8th)
 I. THE IMPORTANCE OF SERVING
    A. Jesus set us an __________________of serving others and He wants us to serve them in love.
John 13:14-15- “Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that  you should do as I have done for you.”
Galatians 5:13- “Serve one another in love.”
See Matthew 20:20-28. Do we see the high value Christ set on service in his kingdom? Are we following his example? It is not about status in His kingdom—it’s about service!
II. THE IMAGE OF SERVING
    A.  A servant has a _____________for others and is humble enough to do even the lowliest acts of love— John 13:1-5
Philippians 2:3-4- “Do nothing out of selfish ambition and vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but to the interests of others.”
Do I have a heart of love for others? Do I value their needs more than my own? Who is near and most in need?  How low am I willing to go in my love and service to others? Am I seeking to impress others or to influence them?
III.  THE IMPACT OF SERVING
    A.  God is _________________when we serve others in love.
Matthew 5:16— “Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”
Are others attracted to God through my actions?  Do I realize that I am serving Christ when I serve others?  See Matthew 25:31-46 & Hebrews 6:10.
    B.  We will really ____________in our relationship with God when we learn to serve.
John 13:17- “ Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.”
The word “do” could be translated “keep on doing” in the Greek.
POINT TO PONDER:  THE GREATEST GAP IN LIFE IS BETWEEN KNOWING AND DOING!
ANSWERS:  EXAMPLE, HEART, GLORIFIED & GROW.

EXTRAVAGANT WORSHIP (Oct 1st)
 TEXT: JOHN 12:1-11
 I.   EXTRAVAGANT WORSHIP EXPRESSES OUR________________
Hebrews 12:28-29- “Since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.”
Psalm 107 & 136, Luke 17:11-19 & Romans 1:21-25
What do we have that we did not receive? Have we taken for granted all of the many blessings of our great God & Savior?  Mary showered Jesus with lavish love out of a grateful heart! A drop of praise is an unsuitable acknowledgement for an ocean of mercy.
 2.  EXTRAVAGANT WORSHIP ____________________GOD & GREATLY PLEASES HIM.
Mark 14:6— “She has done a beautiful thing to me.”
Psalm 68:30-31, 100:4-5, John 4:23-24 & Acts 16:16-34
When we give God our genuine love, praise, thanks & honor it truly touches His heart. He literally loves to hang out with those who give Him praise. He shines in that environment.
 3.  EXTRAVAGANT WORSHIP _________________ALL THAT WE ARE AND HAVE TO JESUS!
Romans 12:1— “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship.”
Mary poured out very costly perfume on her Lord with no thought of the cost!  Is my worship casual or costly? What am I willing to give to Jesus?  Do I allow others to hold me back from loving and serving Christ in a lavish way? Someone said “Too many Christians worship their work, work at their play and play at their worship.”
CLOSING QUOTE TO CONSIDER: Have you ever been driven to do something for God, not because you felt it was useful, or that there was anything in it for you, but simply because you love Him?
ANSWERS: GRATITUDE, GLORIFIES & GIVES.

THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS A FOUNTAIN OF LIFE! (Sep 30th)
KEY VERSE: Proverbs 14:27— “The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, turning a man from the snares of death.”
 1.  FEARING GOD MEANS WE WILL LEARN TO REVERENCE, RESPECT AND STAND IN _________________OF HIM.
Proverbs 9:10— “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, & knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”
Psalm 33:8-9, Proverbs 14:2, Jeremiah 10:6-7, Malachi 1:6-14, Acts 9:31, Hebrews 12:28-29 & Revelation 15:3-4
The fear of the Lord is mentioned over 300 times in the O.T.  Do I revere and respect the Lord as He deserves? Am I taking Him seriously or lightly?  Bill Gothard said “The fear of the Lord is the continual
awareness that God is watching & weighing every one of my thoughts, words, actions and attitudes.”
Our God is a consuming fire. He can’t be contained or controlled.
2.  FEARING GOD MEANS WE WILL ABHOR &_______EVIL.
Proverbs 8:13- “To fear the Lord is to hate evil: I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.”
Job 1:6-8, Psalm 34:11-14, Proverbs 14:16, 16:6, 28:13-14
William Anderson said “The fear of the Lord is reverential trust and hatred of evil.” Ask God to give you a genuine hatred of evil!  Why would I love something that God hates? Why would I want to hurt His holy heart? God showed His ultimate hatred of sin at the cross-see Habakkuk 1:13 & Matt. 27:46.
 3.  FEARING GOD MEANS WE WILL ACCEPT & __________GOD’S PRINCIPLES AND PROMISES!
Ecclesiastes 12:13- “Fear God and keep His commandments for this is the whole duty of man.”
Proverbs 2:1-10, II Timothy 3:15-17, & James 1:21-25

Do I fully believe and receive God’s precepts and purpose for my life? Do I hunger for His Word and heed it? Am I allowing its truth to transform and heal me? See John 8:31-36.  Fearing God leads to living a life of security– Isaiah 33:6
